Additionally, country singer/songwriter Luke Bryan has been added to the lineup for the one-hour special, joining previously announced performers three-time GRAMMY-winning group Maroon 5.
GRAMMY.com Tour Diary: The Head And The Heart
The Recording Academy Memphis Chapter recently traveled from their headquarters in Memphis, Tenn., to Nashville for a concert at the Cannery Ballroom featuring indie folk band the Head And The Heart for the inaugural installment of GRAMMY.com Tour Diary, a new series featuring intimate interviews and exclusive performances that highlight the musically enriched regions of the United States and lives of touring musicians. While on the road, the Chapter visited historical music staples including Elvis Presley’s Graceland Mansion, the Stax Museum and the legendary Sun Studio in Memphis, and the Country Music Hall of Fame, Ryman Auditorium and Grand Ole Opry in Nashville.
Three-time GRAMMY-winning group Maroon 5 are the first act announced to perform on “The GRAMMY Nominations Concert Live!! — Countdown To Music’s Biggest Night.” Two-time GRAMMY winner LL Cool J returns to host the one-hour special, which takes place live for the first time ever at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tenn., on Wednesday, Dec. 5.

We’ll be giving away great prizes including tickets to GRAMMY Salute to Country Music honoring Loretta Lynn! The Recording Academy and MusiCares established the MusiCares Nashville Flood Relief Fund in response to the devastating and profoundly life-altering effects of the recent floods that unexpectedly hit Nashville and its surrounding areas.
Please help spread the word! 100 percent of every dollar raised for the MusiCares Nashville Relief Fund is immediately being distributed to help those in the music community that are victims of the flood. Pledges can be made online, and $5 contributions may be made by texting “Music” to 20222.

Three-time GRAMMY-winning band Jars Of Clay have put together an EP with five different versions of their song, “Flood,” available for $1 at www.jarsofclay.com with 100 percent of the proceeds going to MusiCares Nashville Flood Relief.
MusiCares already has provided assistance and support to many music people in need. Funds are being distributed within 48–72 hours, covering the most immediate and basic needs including food and clothing, gasoline and transportation, cleanup efforts, relocation costs, medicine, and other critical supplies.
