A 1952 Gibson Les Paul valued at $100,00 Flooded music equipment at Soundcheck

The Recording Academy and MusiCares established the MusiCares Nashville Flood Relief Fund in response to the devastating and profoundly life-altering effects of the recent floods that unexpectedly hit Nashville and its surrounding areas.

Please help spread the word! 100 percent of every dollar raised for the MusiCares Nashville Relief Fund is immediately being distributed to help those in the music community that are victims of the flood. Pledges can be made online, and $5 contributions may be made by texting “Music” to 20222.

Guitar Center is partnering with MusiCares to assist the Nashville-area music community by offering discounts on replacement instruments and gear at their Nashville store. Three-time GRAMMY-winning band Jars Of Clay have put together an EP with five different versions of their song, “Flood,” available for $1 at with 100 percent of the proceeds going to MusiCares Nashville Flood Relief.

MusiCares already has provided assistance and support to many music people in need. Funds are being distributed within 48–72 hours, covering the most immediate and basic needs including food and clothing, gasoline and transportation, cleanup efforts, relocation costs, medicine, and other critical supplies.
