GRAMMY-winning singer/songwriter Ryan Bingham recently visited The Recording Academy’s headquarters in Santa Monica, Calif., to participate in an exclusive GRAMMY.com interview and perform a brief acoustic set. Bingham discussed self-releasing his forthcoming new album, Tomorrowland, working with GRAMMY-winning producer T Bone Burnett and winning a GRAMMY, among other topics. Bingham performed songs fromTomorrowland, including “Flower  Bomb” and “Too Deep To Fill.”
“When I first started writing songs, it wasn’t really intended for anybody ever to hear them,” said Bingham. “It was really just stuff I was saying [and it was] kind of therapy for me. What kept me going [were] my peers and friends. … To have your peers relate to you … that was the best thing for me. I felt like there were people out there that understood.”
