Hold up!

That We’re All Fans thing they’re talking about below? Yeah, that’s ours. Remember this?

Which means we definitely have to ask you to choose our side, c’mon!

If you’re voting for the People’s Choice Webbys (and we encourage everyone to do so, even if you don’t vote for us!) please consider voting for us in the Best Visual Design - Aesthetic and Best Use of Online Media categories. Where else do you find Lady Gaga and Leonard Cohen fans on the same site?

webbys:

Day 9 has arrived and we’re approaching 400,000 votes worldwide. Glorious. Simply glorious.

This year, the Webbys launched three new categories, Best Use of Online Media, Best Use of Social Media and Green. It’s no surprise that these categories are attracting tons of votes, given all the inspiring, fantastic and cutting-edge work being produced in these three realms.

Let’s check in on how these individual battles are faring now.

First, Best Use of Online Media.

Fans vs. Fans! Looking at the top two vote-getters in this category, we’d liken this race to a battle between twins. But, you know, fraternal twins. fan video from BBH and We’re All Fans from TBWA\Chiat\Day both put your fangirl love of musicians to good use.

Like any set of fraternal twins, the two nominees should be appreciated as individuals. They’re both awesome and unique in their own ways! While fan video magically inserts your mug into music videos by Alicia Keys and 50 Cent, We’re All Fans integrates your crazy Gaga obsession into a stunning, interactive collage of user-submitted content.Go vote!

“In reviewing the bill with an eye toward how it might apply to musicians, it is difficult to give the legislation a clean bill of health. Too much about the 2,400-page bill and its 10-year implementation plan is simply unknowable. However, the bill does include several provisions that could be beneficial to music professionals and their families — a group that has long struggled to balance employment, artistic fulfillment, health, and financial security.” —Clean Bill Of Health? | GRAMMY.com
